James Menefee has over 10 years of successful and progressive IT experience working with industries including non-profit, corporate, government, and consulting. He currently holds several industry standard certifications including an A+, N+, and MCSE; while currently studying to complete his PMP and CISSP by the end of the year. James came to 1-800-905-Geek as a way to escape the normal corporate environment and to do what he loves best. Fixing computers and helping companies with their IT needs.
Prior to working with 1-800-905-Geek, James worked as a site system engineer for the U.S. Treasury Department supporting the 2000 Census. Duties there included managing over 1,000 clustered NT servers, and at the time, the largest SAN implementation in the world with over 2.5TB of data storage. Additionally, James was a team member during the Y2K rollout for Kroger, and at one point had his own business as a computer consultant in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In addition to his many qualifications as a computer technician and project manager, James also gives back to the community as an Ambassador to the Mansfield, Texas Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time he likes to watch movies, spend time with his family and friends, watch his favorite TV shows including Heros, 24, House, and Boston Legal. When Sunday rolls around and its football season, you can expect to see him firmly planted infront of the TV watching his two favorite teams. The Dallas Cowboys and The Cincinnati Bengals!
