A Number 1 Air is the proud recipient of the prestigious President’s Award from Carrier. Of the 63 winners from across the nation, A Number 1 Air was the only award winner in the state of Texas.
Every year in the HVAC business brings challenges—some unique to a particular company or region, other more broad-sweeping. For the heating and cooling industry as well as any other—as the saying goes—the only thing constant is change.
The annual winners of the President’s Award are companies who have achieved high scores on a set of criteria established by Carrier. The award uses a weighted matrix that levels the playing field among dealerships of all sizes. Criteria are published in advance so that each dealer may plan and track his score and progress. Because the awards are based on achieving a minimum number of points against a pre-determined set of standards, dealers who achieve that minimum score or above receive the award.
These criteria seek to identify model Factory Authorized Dealers whose performance demonstrated year-over-year sales growth through and with a continual emphasis on customer satisfaction. In other words, President’s Award winners are those who not only seek growth and improvement on a daily basis, but whose annual performance testifies to their effectiveness in achieving those goals.
Each President’s Award winner has agreed to put that leadership by example to work for the benefit of all Carrier dealers by serving as part of a national sounding board to the Carrier brand leadership team. Their insights and feedback will be sought in the development of FAD program enhancements, as well as for improvements to brand initiatives and dealer support programs. President’s Award winners will also serve as role models, share “best practices” and otherwise offer peer mentoring to help cultivate excellence among the FAD group as a whole.
