If you are looking for a way to cut back on gasoline costs (and face it,  who isn’t?) then you should consider parking your gas guzzler and purchasing a fuel-efficient scooter for your daily driving needs. You can save yourself the headache of worrying about rising gas prices by purchasing a new scooter.  In Texas, the place to look is ATV Discounter on many different scooters.

We all know that gas prices are rising faster than you can fill your tank, so it makes sense to do everything you can to cut those costs. The problem is it isn’t easy to cut back on the amount of driving you do.  Things like commuting to work and running household errands are necessary driving miles that you need to put on in order to function in your life. You have to do a certain amount of driving, so the only real way to reduce your gasoline costs is to change what you are driving.

Driving a scooter for your daily commute is an excellent way to save money at the pump.  On average, a street legal scooter will get between 70 and 100 miles to the gallon. There’s not a gasoline powered car on the market that can come close to this sort of mileage. But you can find a scooter that will take you everywhere you want to go- at a small fraction of the cost of driving your car, truck or SUV.

Filling your tank is becoming a frightening experience. What use to cost you $25 a year ago, will cost you closer to $34 today. Filling the tank on an SUV can cost as much as $75 or more! On the other hand, filling a tank on most scooters will cost about $5. Your car is likely to get around 360 miles to a tank at a cost of about $48. On a scooter, 360 miles is about 4 tanks at a total cost of around $20.  It’s easy to see that a street legal scooter can save you a lot of money.

Many scooters have a tank size of about 4.2 liters, which is equivalent to just over a gallon of gas. However, you can find scooters with larger tanks to lessen the number of times you need to fill up. For example, a 2008 Sunl SL250-22-Sc-16 gets an average of 70 miles/gallon and has a 10.5 liter (2.77 gallon) tank. It has a top speed of 68 MPH, meaning it has plenty of go-power for your daily commute and it costs about $11 to fill up – that’s about 222 miles for $11. Even if your car gets 30 MPG, you’ll pay close to $30 to travel the same distance.

The cost of gasoline is predicted to continue to rise- and we all know that it isn’t likely to come back down much- even if crude oil prices drop. (How often have you seen gasoline prices drop back to the rate there were even a year ago?) That’s right- as we continue to increase our demand for gas, there will continue to be high prices at the pump.

If you’re ready to keep more of your hard earned money in your wallet, check out ATV Discounter today and start getting 70 miles to the gallon on your daily commute!
