Welcome to the restaurant in Arlington, Texas that not only wants to welcome you in the door, but encourages you to stay a while. At Ventana Grille, we are striving to bring back the art of conversation. And we are doing just that through our warm, inviting, unrushed atmosphere, a little Spanish flair and our irresistible menu. By introducing our tapas dishes, we are encouraging our patrons to try something new and enjoy it in an environment that makes you want to bring a friend. There is no other Arlington, Texas restaurant like it.

We at Ventana Grille in Arlington have worked hard to pair our tapas dishes with the perfect wine, and then top it off with an incredible ambience. Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager Luigi Cinelli instilled a life into his menu that represents the diversity of his cultures.

Growing up in Venezuela, Luigi learned the restaurant business from his mother. Being fortunate enough to inherit his mother’s welcoming spirit and desire to prepare wonderful food, Luigi watched the chefs from his mother’s restaurant and realized he found his true calling.

After moving to San Francisco, Luigi enrolled at Culinary, Luigi enrolled at Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in the Napa Valley of California. While studying there for two years, Luigi obtained the knowledge and ability to succeed in the kitchen. Luigi applied this knowledge with his desire and helped to open the first Panera Bread in Dallas. Luigi honed his bread and pastry skills while there.

Luigi was fortunate to attend a seminar featuring Spanish Chef Norberto Jorge of Casa Benigna in Madrid and fell in love with the cuisines of Spain. Soon afterward, he joined Café Madrid as Executive Chef and stayed there for 6 years. While at Café Madrid, he attended another seminar by the “Julia Child of Spanish Cuisine,” Clara Ma. G. de Amezua. This experience further defined his style and solidified his passion for Spanish cuisine. At Café Madrid, Luigi became well known for his outstanding paella, simply-prepared and well-structured tapas and rich oxtail stew.

Luigi continued his culinary experiences with stints at Aims Academy as an instructor and the Worthington Hotel. As the Executive Pastry Chef of the Worthington for 3 years, Luigi focused on fantastic desserts and breads. Luigi had no idea that his travels and experiences would help him make his mark on an Arlington, Texas restaurant called Ventana Grille.

When the opportunity of a casual neighborhood-styled restaurant with a distinctive Spanish flair presented itself, Luigi embraced the opportunity to join the staff of Arlington Golf. Teaming with director of Golf Evonne Sandas, Luigi and Evonne expanded the idea of a unique and unhurried neighborhood restaurant and opened the doors at Ventana Grille in Arlington. Featuring Luigi’s specialties of paella, over 20 tasty tapas dishes, rich soups, and delectable desserts, Ventana Grille embarked on being Arlington’s restaurant with a unique twist.

With a home-grown organic herb garden, Ventana Grille also features its own signature drinks, sangria and Spanish wines to complement our own interpretation of classic Spanish fare and enhance your dining experience. Try finding that at any Arlington, Texas restaurant.

Whether it be to enjoy a Sunday or holiday brunch, a Friday night dish of paella, or a custom designed meal, Chef Luigi Cinelli and his staff welcome you to Ventana Grille in Arlington and encourage you to bring a friend and stay a while.
