Finding out that you're pregnant is sure to be one of the most special moments in your life. You'll be able to start planning for the arrival of a new presence in your life that will change everything. One of the first things that you should so after getting this great news is start learning about the different pregnancy stages. The more you learn, the better prepared you'll be for the changes in your body. While you're learning about what to expect during pregnancy, you can also start buying new baby products, such as toys or baby cream, at any time during your pregnancy.

Pregnancy stages are usually measured in trimesters. A normal pregnancy will last around 40 weeks, and the doctor will count from the first day of your last period in order to determine your due date. There are three trimesters that you will go through during a pregnancy, and you need to be prepared to meet the challenges posed by each one. Your body is going to go through a lot of changes, so it's a good idea for you to know what to expect in the following trimesters:

  •  First trimester (1-12 weeks): During the early stage of a pregnancy, your body will change dramatically. You're probably going to feel tired all of the time, and you might experience nausea and mood swings. These are all normal symptoms, but they could take some getting used to. Keep in mind that you might need to change your lifestyle during this time. You may need to get a lot more rest or start eating meals more frequently.
  • Second trimester (13-28 weeks): For a lot of expectant moms, the second trimester of a pregnancy is a lot easier to deal with than the first one. Most of the time, the extreme fatigue and nausea die down, but there are some other changes that you will need to be ready for. Your belly is going to start growing even more in this stage, so you may have to deal with stretch marks. Try Tree Hut body butter to help keep stretch marks to a minimum. It's made from organic shea butter and can give your skin greater elasticity.
  • Third trimester (29-40 weeks): This is the home stretch of the pregnancy stages, where you can start to get really excited about your new little one. You'll want to spend some time shopping for new baby products like baby cream and other baby skin care, but you should also take things a bit easy. Your feet and ankles are likely to swell during this time and you may even experience shortness of breath. Make sure that you take the time to relax and prepare yourself mentally before your little one is finally born.
