The Alliance For Children's Rights

Synopsis

The mission of this organization is to protecting the rights of abused and impoverished children throughout Los Angeles County. As mentioned on the organization's website, the goal is to help create 'a world in which all children are able to have a safe and permanent family, access to quality health care, a quality education, and all of the support and services they so rightfully deserve.'
   
The Alliance for Children’s Rights was founded in 1992. Since then, the organization has helped more than 50,000 children throughout Los Angeles County. These include children who are living with learning disabilities, who need medical treatment, and children in need of legal guardianship or adoption.

The Alliance serves not only current needs but also focuses on creating long term change in the interest of protecting the futures of children for many years to come.

Broadly, the Alliance for Children's Rights address five specific needs. The programs administered by the organization helps children who:

Need health care - including public benefits and Children's Court Advocacy
Need adoptive families - encompassing guardianship
Have learning disabilities and developmental delays
Need help accessing public benefits and services
Are exiting the foster care system
