Save time, money and energy by taking advantage of Cooperative Purchasing offered by Choice Facility Partners, a Cooperative Purchasing agency.

By law all governmental agencies, including cities, counties, colleges, universities and school districts, must request competitive bids before authorizing purchases.  Whether for small items or large projects, agencies must fill out extensive paperwork and jump through legal hoops before committing to a particular purchase.

Choice Facility Partners, through cooperative purchasing, does the work for you! By utilizing cooperative purchasing, agencies only need to sign an interlocal agreement, then let Choice Facility Partners do the rest.  To get started, download the interlocal agreement from http://www.choicefacilitypartners.org/html/become_a_member.php. Add the approval of the interlocal agreement to the agenda for the governing board of the entity. Once the interlocal is approved, then it will also be put on the agenda of the Harris County Department of Education for approval. Once both governing bodies have approved the agreement, the organization has access to many cooperative purchasing contracts where the requests for proposal have already been advertised, bids have been submitted, evaluations have been conducted and cooperative purchasing contracts have been awarded.
