Day 3: Coffee? No thanks I'm heading to the bar...

Something surprised me this morning that I'm not sure should have. You be the judge.

As I sat in the bleachers of hole 9 sipping my morning coffee, I picked my head up from the putting action and took a quick look around. Now mind you it is 10:20 in the morning and what did I see...  A fan purchasing and cracking open a beer.

I thought OK I just managed to run into the one guy who woke up at 4:00 a.m. and this is like his afternoon. But as I wandered around toward the Colonial Plaza Lounge I saw more and more morning drinkers. I'm drinking coffee and they're knockin 'em back already.

Don't get me wrong I'm sure I'll be joining in on the fun at some point, it just probably wont be for at least another 6 hours. And hey it is Saturday and a major sporting event so maybe I shouldn't judge. Here's to you morning drinkers; your commitment to getting a head start on everyone else while they are still trying to recover from the night before is helping make this tournament great.

So if you're saying to yourself 'hey Ace there's nothing wrong with that they at least waited until after 10:00' then come on down to the Colonial. I'm sure you'll have some new friends fast.
