Day 3: I'm Phil Mickelson ... No, I Am... No Me.

There are perks to looking like the no. 2 golfer in the world.

Dave Coonan likes the women. At least according to his cameo as one of the Phil Mickelson look-alikes in the Crowne Plaza Invitational advertisements.

Coonan's journey to become Mr. Mickelson's doppelganger started when he was on a plane flight from Chicago and he picked up an issue of Golf Digest and saw an advertisement to star in a television commercial as a Phil Mickelson look-alike.

When Coonan returned home he mailed off a picture of himself the day before the photo-submission deadline. Long story short, two weeks later, Coonan, who is also an avid golfer, was in an audition in Los Angeles with 20 other Phil-a-likes.

Members of the panel to choose the final look-alikes for the commercial included Phil's wife, parents and golf writer and former PGA tour pro, David Feherty.

Though the facial shape and smile are similar there are a few differences between Coonan and Mickelson's appearance. Mainly, Phil is taller and a bit of a better golfer. That difference has not stopped Coonan from having what he and his wife Molly call "Sightings."

"At a lot of airports, hotels and restaurants people will say, 'Did anyone ever tell you you look like...'" Coonan said.

For the time being Coonan and his wife are enjoying the surrounding the Colonial while celebrating their wedding anniversary.
