Day 2: I'm Number Two and I'm Not Going To Take It

Johnson Wagner grimaced when his birdie attempt on the
ninth green fell short.  Luckily the grin that was on his face when he walked up to the green returned when he tapped in for par and preserved his 6-under after the
second day at the Crowne Plaza Invitational.

His solid play today puts him one stroke behind Phil Mickelson as the
weekend cuts shrink the field of golfers to 70.

"I would take being one back going into the weekend any day," Wagner
said to a handful of reporters after finishing his afternoon round.

Perhaps we could see the second tournament win for Johnson Wagner in
less than two months after the Saturday and Sunday rounds.
