Conselium, an executive search firm, has just completed a successful executive search for an IT Audit Senior in Dallas, Texas on behalf of J.C. Penney. Ms. Dottie Vo began her role of IT Audit Senior at J.C. Penney on February 4, 2008. As IT Audit Senior, Ms.Vo will be responsible for:
• Coordinating and/or conducting audits as assigned, including specialized activities with a high degree of professional competence and technical expertise.
• Determining and/or recommending the scope and objective of specialized audits utilizing the technical tools/techniques most appropriate and productive.
• Analyzing complex information system environments and processes to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of the systems and related controls.
• Utilizing information systems development, implementation, and operating control concepts in a wide variety of technology environments.
• Documenting findings to fully substantiate recommendations for changes and improvements to systems, controls and/or procedures. Communicating audit concerns and findings to the appropriate levels of operating management and promotes best practices.
• Identifying and recommending new and/or improved technical audit techniques, and providing technical assistance and training in specified methods to Company and external auditors.
• Establishing audit priorities based on specialized knowledge of key risks and exposures, and participates in developing the schedule of audit assignments and audit plans. Maintaining a high degree of knowledge about the business, and remaining aware of trends in the industry.
• Communicating overall summary of audit results to operating management on a regular basis and alerts management to unusual or high-risk situations requiring immediate action.
Ms. Vo was previously an IT Auditor for Texas Instruments, Centex, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Her professional designations include CISA and MCSE.
