POSITION:
Senior Compliance Counsel
The
position of Senior Compliance Counsel is open due to growth. Career
growth options consist of advancement within the compliance department,
the legal department and the business units.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The
Senior Compliance Counsel will provide legal services to the Company,
including contract negotiation and drafting as well as day-to-day legal
counseling with little or no guidance or direction. The Senior
Compliance Counsel is also responsible for handling complex legal
matters or projects and serves as a knowledge resource and provides
training to less experienced attorneys. In addition, the executive
candidate who is chosen to be Senior Compliance Counsel will represent
the Legal Department on company-wide task forces.
Essential Functions Include:
- Principle
duties of the Senior Compliance Counsel are legal consultation and
oversight of the contracts with the Department of Defense.
- Provide
legal advice to program management and contract administration with
respect to program compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Cost
Accounting Standards, contract interpretation, etc.
- Review all government proposals and pricing for legal compliance issues.
- Manage outside government contracts counsel and interface with government accounting consultants as needed.
- The
Senior Compliance Counsel is also responsible for the compliance
program dealing with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Federal False
Claims Act, Anti-kickback Act.
- Interface with compliance training team to develop training related to the above.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS EXECUTIVE JOB OPENING:
• J.D. degree with at least 2 years experience handling government contract issues
• Expert level knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and related statutes
• Knowledge of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act issues
• Knowledge of Federal False Claims Act issues
• Knowledge of Anti-Kickback Act issues
