Conselium, an executive search firm with a specialty in compliance searches, has just completed a search for a Senior Compliance Counsel on behalf of Express Scripts in St. Louis, MO. Ms. Lauren Wylie will join Express Scripts as Senior Compliance Counsel on December 1, 2008.
Ms. Wylie’s responsibilities as Senior Compliance Counsel will include:
- Providing legal services to the Company, including contract negotiation and drafting, as well as day-to-day legal counseling with little or no guidance or direction.
- Handling complex legal matters or projects.
- Serving as knowledge resource and providing training to less experienced attorneys.
- Representing the Legal Department on company-wide task forces.
The essential functions of the Senior Compliance Counsel position Include:
- Principle duties are legal consultation and oversight of the contracts with the Department of Defense.
- Provide legal advice to program management and contract administration with respect to program compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Cost Accounting Standards, contract interpretation, etc.
- Review all government proposals and pricing for legal compliance issues.
- Manage outside government contracts counsel and interface with government accounting consultants as needed.
- Responsible for compliance program dealing with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Federal False Claims Act, Anti-kickback Act.
- Interface with compliance training team to develop training related to the above.
Before being named Senior Compliance Counsel at Express Scripts, Ms. Lauren Wylie was previously Compliance Counsel for United Technologies and Cubic Corporation. Ms. Wylie earned her Jurist Doctorate from Duquesne University and is a member of the American Corporate Counsel, National Defense Industry Association and the National Association of Manufacturers.
