Healthcare Compliance Job Opening: General Counsel
Our client delivers healthcare services throughout the country. One year revenue growth is 24% and 7 year revenue growth is 234%. The General Counsel will be a healthcare attorney experienced is areas of: corporate law, health law, regulatory, compliance and administration.
General Counsel will be responsible for:
- Overseeing, supervising and training legal and compliance department employees comprised of 3 staff attorneys as well as other support staff.
- Serving as respected advisor to clinic field staff and management.
- Overseeing Corporate Compliance Program, including provision of focus and expertise regarding Medicare and Medicaid, HIPAA, state practice acts, and health care operations;
- Maintaining and overseeing monitoring systems, files and processes associated with the legal and compliance department operations;
- Overseeing and monitoring litigation and managing relationships with all outside counsel involvement.
General Counsel Requirements:
- J.D. degree and admission to practice law.
- 8+ years of legal practice with a combination of law firm and corporate law department experience.
- Member in good standing of Texas bar with ability to practice as house counsel.
- Experience with Healthcare compliance and regulatory climates.
