Conselium Announces Placement of Chief Compliance Officer at Transocean, Inc. in Houston.
Conselium, an executive search specialist in the area of ethics and compliance, has announced the completion of a search for a Chief Compliance Officer on behalf of Transocean, Inc. Mr. Michael Munro joined Transocean as Chief Compliance Officer on May 19, 2008.
As Chief Compliance Officer, Mr. Munro will oversee all aspects of the worldwide ethics and compliance program for Transocean. His responsibilities include:
• Implementing policies and procedures regarding legal and regulatory requirements, as well as ethics and business conduct.
• Communicating policies and procedures to Board of Directors, management, employees, agents, JV partners, and contractors.
• Monitoring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Reporting to Board of Directors through the Audit Committee and Company management.
• Recommending changes to policies and procedures when appropriate.
Prior to joining Transocean, Mr. Munro was the Global Director of Ethics and Compliance at Baker Hughes. Previous to that position, he was the Deputy Director of Global Ethics and Compliance at Dow Chemical.
