The Med Spa at Daireds now offers its new Isolaz Acne Clear Treatment, a simple, painless way to clear acne from the inside out.

For those who suffer from acne, it seems that desperation kicks in when it comes to finding a treatment, and uneducated choices in remedies continually lead to wasted time, money and effort. Between the stinging astringents and drying spot creams, to the worthless pills and the five-step systems that take too long, nothing seems to make a real difference. The red bumps are still there, the blackheads won’t budge, and no matter how much you wash, the oil keeps coming back.

Twenty percent of adults have acne, and millions are spent on topical treatments and antibiotics each year. Surprisingly, acne has no official cure, yet there is hope for those who believe they have tried it all without success. The Med Spa at Daireds now offers its new Isolaz Acne Clear Treatment, a simple, painless way to clear acne from the inside out.

“One of the greatest things about this treatment is how quickly you start seeing improvement,” said Dr. Walter Waechter, Daireds Med Spa physician. “The patient sees a dramatic improvement immediately.”

So how is this treatment different from other methods of acne reduction? Using the Isolaz laser, Isolaz Acne Clear literally purifies the pores from the inside out. The Isolaz therapy combines an actual vacuum with a wavelength of light that work together in a two-part process to help rid the skin of acne.

Vacuum: Gently lifts impurities like dirt, blackheads and oil, or sebum, to the surface of the skin from deep with the pores.
Wavelength of Light: In a fraction of a second, a painless wavelength of light kills bacteria at the bottom of the pore.
Result: Skin is left cleaner and clearer. Pores may be reduced and skin feels tighter and healthier.

“You will notice drying and flattening of acne within 24 to 48 hours after the treatment,” Waechter said. “You will also notice that the oiliness of the skin seems to disappear. The reason is that we’re radiating the cells at the bottom of the gland that produce the oil in the skin.”

Although oil allows for our skin to be water proof and keeps our skin supple, those who have acne produce more oil than those who don‘t.  When a gland becomes so full of oil, the membrane will rupture and cause inflammation and redness around the gland.

“This procedure evacuates the sebum, opens the pore and the light fires, which does several things,” Waechter said. “It shrinks the pore and cleanses the bottom of the gland itself. It also kills the bacteria.”

Waechter said other methods of treating acne are not as effective as Isolaz Acne Clear because they don’t treat all components of acne. Additionally, Isolaz Acne Clear is the only procedure that is FDA approved for all skin types.

“Antibiotics have a minimal effect on bacteria, but they don’t treat the cause,” he said. “Acutane is extensive, takes a long time, and there are significant side effects, some of which can be permanent.”

Isolaz Clear patients start with a warm facial soak that softens the skin and loosens debris. The face is washed and the procedure begins. Because the treatment is painless, there is no need to pre-numb the skin.

Patients will normally receive five treatments, one per week as needed. Dr. Waechter says that the more treatments that are given, the more bacteria is killed, the more the glands shrink, and the more sebum is evacuated.

“By the fourth treatment, 90 percent of patients have shown significant improvement,” Waechter said.

Acne Clear is even effective on severe cases such as “nodular” acne, where large boil-like structures are present on the skin, almost purple in color. The treatment also helps routine topical treatments and moisturizers work more effectively and absorb more efficiently.

“The best way to explain it is that if you get in a fight, it’s much easier to fight one person than 300,” Waechter said. “If you ask the medication you are putting on your skin to attack something like severe nodular acne by itself, it’s overwhelming.”

No matter age, skin type or acne severity, Isolaz Acne Clear can help provide the relief many search so diligently for in the treatment of acne.
