Dallas Arboretum Cool Thursdays Concert Series: April 30-July 30  &  September 17-October 29
The Dallas Arboretum hosts evening concerts on the Martin Rutchik Lawn and Stage on Thursday evenings beginning in the spring.  Concert Dates and Schedule.  With everything from big band sounds to cover band music of favorite artists, the Dallas Arboretum Concerts is a popular location for the city.  As most concerts sell out, it is important to purchase tickets early.

Every Thursday, April 30 - July 30, 7:30pm – 9:30pm

Pack a picnic and enjoy your favorite concert on the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn overlooking scenic White Rock Lake.

Purchase a Season Pass to the Spring/Summer concert series, including all Cool Thursday concerts from April 30 to July 30, or a Combo Season Pass which includes the Spring/Summer concert series as well as the fall concert series, which includes all concerts from September 17 to October 30.  One pass per person. Family, Sustaining, and Patron level memberships may purchase up to 6 tickets at the member rate. Individual memberships may purchase up to 2 tickets at the member rate.

April 30 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

A Hard Night’s Day - This Beatles cover band gets their name from the Fab Four’s famous hit, “A Hard Day’s Night.” Performing for more than 10 years, A Hard Night’s Day was voted best cover band in Dallas.

May 7 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Satisfaction: A Rolling Stones Experience - Since 2000, this cover band has brought a realistic Rolling Stones show to audiences in 40 states. Satisfaction performs all the hits with the energy of a Stones concert and a Mick Jagger look-alike.

May 14 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Emerald City - Voted “Dallas’s Best Band” by The Dallas Morning News, this 10-piece band’s repertoire mixes the last 50 years of popular music with the most current songs on the radio.

May 21 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Asleep at the Wheel - “The nine time Grammy winning kings of swing,” will be entrancing audiences with hits such as, “Don’t Fence Me In” and “Miles and Miles of Texas.” The famed western-swing, boogie, and roots-music outfit that is, still on the upswing, having been around more than 38 years with 25+ albums.

May 28 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

The M80’s – This band will transport you back in time with hits including “Shout” by Tear for Fears, “Whip It” by Devo, and “Material Girl” by Madonna.  If you were a child of the 80’s, what better way to celebrate this memorable decade with fantastic music - and be sure to come adorned in full 80’s attire – don’t forget your Members Only jackets, crimped hair and leggings!

June 4 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

The Project - Considered by many to be the “premier wedding and party band in Dallas.” The Project’s song list is extensive, performing hits from the 40’s through today! They will be performing popular Motown hits including, “Boogie Shoes,” by KC and the Sunshine Band, “Mustang Sally,” by Wilson Pickett, and the popular hit from the Supremes, “Aint No Mountain High Enough.”

June 11 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Dallas Unlimited – Made up of the area's most accomplished musicians including four dynamic vocalists, Dallas Unlimited performs a variety of authentic styles to please the most discerning audiences.  Whether it’s Jazz, Swing, Motown, Country, Classic Rock 'n Roll, Disco or Pop Hits---one is sure to have great time.

June 18 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Kraig Parker: A Tribute to “The King” - personification of Elvis in voice, looks and mannerisms is incredible and performances span the King’s hits and hits of the era. Celebrate The King’s musical legacy with an impersonator that is praised by Elvis fans worldwide. Kraig Parker was voted the “greatest Tribute Performer in the World,” by the London Times. He will be performing popular Elvis hits including, “All Shook Up,” Blue Suede Shoes,” and “Teddy Bear.”

June 25 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Reality Bites - Emerging from years as professional musicians across a diverse range of styles in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth music scene, Reality Bites will be performing a variety of 70’s, 80’s and today pop classics.

July 2 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

4 Way Street - a Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young cover band, 4 Way Street are extremely talented musicians that use their love of music to captivate the audience with their unique and upbeat sound. 4 Way Street’s song list is impressive, something of which Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young would be proud of.  They will be performing popular hits including, “Long Time Gone,” “Our House,” and “Harvest Moon.”

July 9 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Christies Ex - The Billy Joel tribute band, Christies Ex, is comprised of six talented musicians, all of whom are equipped with music degrees and a passion for performing.  They take their music seriously, but not themselves.  Their shows are full of energy, humor, and of course, great music.

July 16 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

The Crawfish Band – The Crawfish Band incorporates every imaginable musical style. The band’s performance includes family-oriented audience participation, music that appeals to all ages, and unbeatable fun.

Le Freak – Intensely unique, high energy, high quality, danceable disco fever entertainment.

July 30 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Fast Lane - Turn back time as Fast Lane performs classic Eagle hits which include: “James Dean”, “Hotel California”, and “Taken it Easy”. Fast Lane is a 6 piece tribute to the Eagles based in North Texas. They faithfully recreate all the classic hits from the Eagle's extensive catalog. Come enjoy the best music of the 70's and 80's.

September 17 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Hunter Sullivan - Fans of Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett will go back in time with Hunter Sullivan’s show tune covers and originals, while new audiences are bound to make new memories listening to his jazzy style. Hunter Sullivan will perform favorites including: “Fly Me to the Moon”, “The Way You Look Tonight”, as well as classic hits by other bands. “Swing” by for classy lounge-like experience.

September 24 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Key West The Band - A little something for everyone by playing hits from: Elton John, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Van Morrison, and favorites by Jimmy Buffet.  Songs to be performed include, “Mardi Gras” and “Tropical Girl” as well as covers such as “Margaritaville” and “Only The Good Die Young.”

October 1 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Briefcase Blues - a Blues Brothers tribute band, Briefcase Blues will perform classic hits including: “Soul Man”, “Jailhouse Rock”, “Devil with the Blue Dress,” and much more. They continue to delight crowds wanting to “Shake a Tail feather” at the exciting concert.

October 8 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Tuxedo Junction - With a vision to recreate the sound, the look, and the mood of the big bands of the 30's and 40's, Tuxedo Junction offers a refreshing and authentic, musical recreation of the 'Big Band Swing Era'. “Jump and Jive” with Tuxedo Junction to hits including: “Mambo #5,” “Unforgettable,” and many more.

October 15 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Natchez Trace - A 2007 Terry Awards Nominee: Ft. Worth Band of The Year, Natchez Trace performs country classics all over Texas such as Dierks Bentley’s “Come a Little Over”.

October 22 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Petty Theft – This Dallas tribute band rocks the sound of Tom Petty and the Heartbreaks with a purpose to keep the sound and vibe as close as the real thing as you can get.

October 29 - Dallas Arboretum Concerts

Brave Combo - This Denton based band is American’s premier contemporary polka band, winning a 2005 Grammy. Formed in 1979, Brave Combo plays entertaining world music and promotes “peace through polka.”

Hours: The family friendly Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is open to the public year-round 9am to 5pm except for Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.

Rental: Both the DeGolyer Home, the Camp House and Rosine Hall are available for events and rental.  In addition, we have 11 unique garden sites that may be rented for weddings or other events. Rental is available for many events and occasions. Including: corporate events, wedding events, Spanish corporate events, wedding ceremony events, wedding receptions and events, reunion events, galas, and engagement parties.

Food Service: Food service and tea service is available outside at the Lula Mae Slaughter Dining Terrace and inside at Degolyer Garden Cafe year round.
