A patient with severe disabling endometriosis had a laproscopic hysterectomy with extensive adhesions removed using the daVinci S Robot. The surgery took about 1.5 hrs and the patient is expected to go home the next day with full recovery in less than a week.
A 38 year old woman had suffered with severe endometriosis and fiboid tumors for over 5 yrs.  She had had multiple treatments including birth control pills and lupron as well as previous surgery.  Her condition continued to worsen.  She recently had a laproscopic hysterectomy utilizing the daVinci Robot.  The surgery was moderatly difficult but successful taking about 1.5 hrs.  The patient will have an overnight stay and is expected to resume full activities in a week or less.  This type of case would usually take longer to perform and require a 4-6 week recovery time.
