Charlene joins the EBM Team with Solid Sales and Marketing Business Experience.
Before joining EBM full time as our sales lead, she was the Office and Financial Manager for ABcarz.com Auto Marketing Business for 3 years. (ABcarz.com is a DBA of EBM Corp) Charlene made sure that the company's operation was compliant with the Texas Department of Transportation and other State/County Organizations. She interfaced with the Motor Vehicle Division and the Tax Office making sure the customer's title and registration was completed. She completed and delivered all the monthly sales and inventory reports to the Proper Tax and State Office's. Charlene was also known to get involved in the Sales and Marketing efforts of ABcarz.com. Based on her marketing background, it just came natural.
Prior to working with ABcarz full time, Charlene was self-employed for 2 years contracting with several different companies involved in Sales, Marketing and PR activities. She promoted and managed a new software Kiosk program in the Dallas TX area for one of the leading computer supply companies in the US. The promotional project went nationwide after 1 year. She also assisted in sales and marketing for a family owned business in Tyler Texas which helped increase their business by 75% in Tyler and more than 30% in the Dallas area.
Prior to ABcarz.com and EBM Corp, Charlene, brings more than 18 years of marketing, sales and PR experience. About 13 years of her career was spent with IBM Corp, working with various organizations in the company. She was the Sales Team Lead and Interface for an Engineering Application Software Product CATIA, for the last 3 years of her career. Previously, she was the IBM CAD/CAM Education and Services Manager for the Scientific and Engineering Organization, Nationwide. She was instrumental in coordinating and implementing a technical and education services plan for that organization. Using her negotiating and PR skills to interface with IBM Business Partners and the CATIA software developer in France, she was able to ensure that the Education and Services became a success for all companies involved. Charlene, received numerous awards for her efforts, including 2 Presidential Awards and several Marketing and 100% Sales Awards.
Prior to IBM, Charlene started her career in the Banking Industry. She was involved in several aspects of the Banking business and became the Assistant V.P. of Mortgage Lending. After, a few years with the bank she found herself getting involved in marketing and advertising activities for the bank. She later started her own Marketing and Advertising Agency and became a young self employed entrepreneur. As an agent, she worked with several Television and Radio stations and other Media sources to secure the right advertising plan for her customers. She continued that business until she moved to Texas and joined IBM Corp.
Today, Charlene is excited about the opportunity at EBM Corp. to grow her knowledge in the Internet Marketing Business including, SEO/SEM (Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing). And, she's hoping to combine her skills and experience to help grow this business. Although, she is very dedicated to her career with EBM, she still makes time for her family and her community activities and in addition, keeping her music hobby alive.
