Seo companies with good reputations and website design practices-TX

Posted by EBM in Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, TX on Jun 17, 2008

Good website design practices seem to be a hard quality to find. Finding seo companies with good reputations and the best website design practices can be hard to do.

In the last several months I have really started to notice a running trend when meeting new clients for the first time. After analyzing their websites and speaking to the clients themselves I have noticed that my blood starts to boil.

I am amazed at how many poor practices of website design are applied to these clients. Even though there has been an increased interest in using the Internet to help physical businesses gain more exposure, there still seems to be a huge struggle to help educate these very same people on what the best website design practices are. It is in my personal opinion that website design companies and SEO companies themselves are at the core of this problem. Instead of taking the time to help educate their clients or potential clients instead they would rather talk over their heads and confuse them.

Today the owner of EBM Corp Wael Salama and myself met with with a potential new client who told us flat out he did not have the much in the way of funds. We didn't bat an eye instead we spent the next two and a half hours explaining the different points of interest to focus on in order to promote his website. This included going over a 61 page report, after letting us know he was shopping around we even gave him the report to take with him. I personally felt that even if he decided to work with another company that after the time we spent with him, he would at least start looking more at SEO companies with good reputations.

This man was one of the nicest guys I've met and I was so outraged by the time he left, because the more he told us the more I felt for him. He was over paying, but didn't realize he was. Not only that but he also had no access to his own website login information, even though he has asked for it from the company who built his site. I mean what kind of company tells their client they have no need to be able to log into their own account? Not only that but this man didn't even have Meta data in his site at all, also he has the potential to have close to 5000 pages of content indexed in Google but instead he has 167 and most of them have the same name.

Several months back EBM Corp was working with a company who had hired an advertising company to manage every aspect of their marketing. I found that they were running 97 keywords in their meta data, and 80% of those words where very generic unfocussed words. The advertising company, I say should be ashamed of themselves. This client also informed us that she had no clue as to what the stats where on her site, and that they where just told it was doing well.

With all the fly by night SEO Programs and Web Design Programs it seems that everyone is a "designer" or "knows how to market", and being that most people don't know the difference they tend to get taken for a ride. If you are one of those companies just trying to gain the almighty dollar with very little concern to the success of your client, the you should be called out.

Now to every business out there looking to promote themselves in the online world I beg you to please start asking the questions below and don't allow your self to become just another Patsy for some "seo company" or "web development company" who just happens to have a few programs or templates. You should have a strong working relationship with who ever you work with, and you should know how to keep and eye on them to prevent them from being lazy.
