art of shopping. Along
the way, she developed a soft spot for pajamas and
loungewear. But whenever
she went shopping to update her loungewear collection,
she noticed an annoyingly consistent trend: sexy and comfy do not coexist.
Comfortable pieces are boxy, shapeless and hide the body. Sexy pieces are often
complicated, difficult to put on (let alone take off!), and physically
constricting. Erin wondered why women had to
accept this compromise. Why can’t women be sexy and comfortable at the same
time? Yes, women want to look beautiful for themselves and for their
significant other. But why sacrifice personal comfort for that special
someone’s attention? The truth is, a woman is sexiest when she’s comfortable in
her own skin. This is when Erin vowed to
change the age-old ‘comfy-or-sexy’ ultimatum. She put pencil to paper, and
found the middle ground between flannel jammies and lacy teddies. In 2003, she
founded Erin Braxton, LLC and created a line of loungewear and sleepwear that
truly understands what women are looking for – comfort, fashion-conscious
style, sexiness and durability. The Erin Braxton luxury boutique line is a new
option for women - soft, breathable cotton and modal loungewear in chic designs
and colors that are trendy in the bedroom, and luxuriously comfortable just
lounging around the house or running around town. Her line is currently sold in
specialty boutiques in Houston, New York, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco.
Erin holds a Journalism degree from the University of Missouri,
and has worked for some of the country’s top advertising agencies, managing
communication strategies for national brands like Nokia, Dr. Pepper, Target and
Neiman Marcus. Knowing a business is only as good as you give it, she went full-time
entrepreneur in the Spring of 2007. After 11 years of working in advertising
& marketing, Erin knows a ripe niche
market when she sees one. Now she is marrying her extensive marketing skills
with her passion for sassy fashion. And the results are setting a new standard
in women’s loungewear.
