Entourage and its Motto about Public Relations

 My name is Susan Friedman, and I am a very sociable publicist in Dallas who LOVES attending events and meeting new people.  However, I decided to lay low one weekend and watch the entire Season 4 of Entourage on DVD (thanks, Netflix!).

I believe it was Disc 3 "Gary's Desk" that had a fabulous segment about publicity.  E wants to jumpstart his new management business by placing an ad in Variety magazine.  However, the ad rep, not believing that E is Vince's manager, refuses to place the ad.  Shauna, Vince's publicist, gets word and quickly coordinates a FREE article and interview with Variety instead.  Not being media trained, E responds inappropriately to some of the questions and the article turns a different direction -- not necessarily positive.

And my QUOTE OF THE WEEK comes from Drama who advises E not to worry about it. 

"NO PRESS IS BAD PRESS."

I have also recently started a blog, which I update as often as possible.  It is personal and professional as my life and career have become one.  Yes . . . I have stories about wining and dining.  Meeting celebrities.  Attending some crazy parties.  But public relations is not all fun and games, and most of my results occur when I am sitting at the computer, which I do quite a lot!  Luckily, I just don't blog about it.  :)
