GattiTown North Dallas Now Open!

Some couples see fun as a laid-back, quiet evening at home.  For husband-and-wife duo Paul and Aimee Griffiths, “fun” is defined as bumper cars, bowling and All-You-Care-To-Eat buffets.  On October 13^th, this trend-setting team is opening Dallas’ first GattiTown, an entertainment eatery that implores patrons to “eat up the fun” in its 20,000-square-foot facility replete with every facet of fun to be found.

“We wanted to put the ‘fun’ and excitement back in family nights, providing a venue where the community can get together and play!” said Paul Griffiths, who is opening the new enterprise alongside wife Aimee.  “There is something for everyone here.  It’s a place that I can enjoy as much as my kids do.”

Located at 11722 Marsh Lane, the entertainment eatery opens in the Park Forest Shopping Center at the corner of Marsh and Forest.  Included in the 20,000-square-feet-of-fun are an open kitchen and quiet Courtyard Cafe, four private rooms for parties, a cartoon theater and a sports room with giant flat screen TVs.  Two murals created by well-known artist Brent Hale ornament the walls with iconic images of Dallas and its wondrous skyline.  But the complex’s crowning glory is a 6,000-square-foot game room like one you always begged your parents for, with multi-level video and interactive games, bumper cars, bowling, and The Frog Hopper ride.  All areas are arranged in a “Main Street U.S.A.” style for easy access and that warm, friendly feeling of safe fun for kids and parents alike.  A huge redemption center filled with the latest and greatest prizes entices pint-size players to get the most out of their gaming experience.  

GattiTown North Dallas features an All-You-Care-To-Eat Buffet with unlimited delicious Gatti pizzas, pastas, salads, desserts and more.  The buffet is priced according to the diner’s age, with kids and senior citizens getting a nice discount off the regular $8.69 adult buffet price.

GattiTown North Dallas is open to hosting that perfect party, magnificent meeting, bunco or bridge night, or anything in-between.  With a mixture of fun, entertainment and technology, GattiTown can handle any get-together requirements.  The entertainment eatery is equipped with select audio/visual capabilities, including TV screens, iPod docks, DVD players, laptop outputs on the TVs and more.  From home movies to company presentations to sing-alongs, GattiTown North Dallas is a great choice for any get-together.

“Our goal with GattiTown North Dallas was to create a place where memories are made,” said Aimee Griffiths, who grew up less than a mile from the GattiTown North Dallas location.  “As a mom, I am always looking for fun things my family and I can do together, and this is just that kind of place.  We are telling our friends and family that GattiTown North Dallas is a place for them.”

The Griffiths were granted the Dallas area development rights for GattiTown and Gatti’s Pizza restaurants in 2007 and GattiTown North Dallas is their first location.  Working as a team and a family is nothing new to either of the Griffiths.  Paul and Aimee both grew up in their respective families’ businesses, Paul with H&K International, a well-known restaurant equipment systems and services company, while Aimee’s family owned and operated North Central Ford (formerly Baillargeon Ford), where Aimee held several key roles, including service department operations manager and director of HR.

The Griffiths are active in their church, St. Rita Catholic Community.  Aimee serves with the Junior League of Dallas, Ursuline Academy Alumni Association, Genesis Women’s Shelter, and other community initiatives, and Paul is a parent volunteer.  They have two children, Jack and Maggie.

“Do Jack and Maggie love GattiTown?” asked Paul Griffiths.  “Oh yes.  With all of the video games, bowling and frog hop they do -- you could say that they are learning the business from the ground up.”
