Making the choice to major in psychology is a big step that will carry large responsibilities both pre and post graduation. Not paying attention or getting poor grades due to the misconception that these courses are irrelevant is a major mistake that could be both costly and time consuming, as students will need to satisfactorily complete these courses to get a degree and eventiually a decent career. In order to major in psychology, a student must know that the subject can be quite stressful as they will be dealing with all types of people in the working world. People can be quite difficult to work with and this can lead to great stress for newcomers of the field. Students must also know that in order to get the right degree, they must know exactly what career they are aiming to craft. Limitations are placed on those that don’t seek graduate classes after obtaining an undergraduate psychology degree.
