Mr. Mark Okada is one of the Founders of Highland Capital Management, and also serves as the Chief Investment Officer of Highland Capital Management, L.P. Mr. Mark Okada holds the responsibility to oversee all investment activities for Highland, throughout the various strategies and stages.
Mr. Mark Okada has over twenty (20) years of business experience in the field of leveraged finance market. Before Mr. Okada joined Highland Capital, he worked as
Manager of Fixed Income for Protective Life’s GIC subsidiary from 1990
to 1993.
Mr. Okada held the primary responsiblity for the bank loan portfolio in addition to various
other risk assets. Protective Life was among the first non-bank entrants
into the syndicated loan market.
Mr. Mark Okada served as Vice President for Hibernia National Bank from 1986 to 1990, having managed over $1 billion of high yield bank loans.
Mr. Okada graduated with honors from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) having earned degrees in both Economics and Psychology. Mr. Mark Okada completed his credit training
at Mitsui. Mr. Mark Okada has the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Mr. Okada is also functions as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Common Grace Ministries Inc.
