Plano-based Dr Pepper has joined the ranks of companies hoping to use "advergames" to sell products by launching an advertisement/game designed specifically for the iPhone.
Dr Pepper, part of Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages, said it has launched a "Match Three" game that works with the iPhone's Safari browser.
Users match Dr Pepper bottle caps in the game, which is available online now for Safari users.
After Apple makes new software available next year, gamers will be able to download the game to their phones.
