YawpBox, an interactive Internet, radio and television portal for social networking, has added some friendly competition to the web 2.0 site, www.yawpbox.com, through a new gaming section. BrusterPowers, LLC paired with Imaginuity Interactive, Inc. to create the site, while Imaginuity New Media developed the games category.
The site features six games including Mayan Sudoku, Heraldy, Picnic Raid, RC Racer, Germicide, and Spin Control. Mayan Sudoku is a version of the popular Sudoku game with an ancient theme that prompts gamers to prove they are smarter than the “average Mayan.” Heraldy is also another version of the classic Mahjong game in which users strategically match identical tiles that aren’t blocked. Gamers can battle an army of fire ants that dare to fight back against bug killer in Picnic Raid. RC Racer challenges users to dodge obstacles and do as many tricks as possible in their remote control racer before wiping out. Germicide, based on the classic Tetris game, challenges users to form lines with falling pills without being attacked by pesky germs.
The featured game, Spin Control, relates to the current presidential campaign by allowing users to keep politicians in line by censoring their thoughts before they become quotes that will damage their reputations.
Visitors can take part in these games without logging in to the site.
