Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center in Orange, Texas, called upon Imaginuity Interactive, Inc. to update its web site to highlight all the features of the recently renovated facility. Shangri La, rated as one of the most earth-friendly projects in the world by the U.S. Green Building Council, reopened to the public in March 2008 for the first time in 50 years.
The updated site features several photos from the original Shangri-La Gardens, as well as current images of what a visitor will find at Shangri La today. It also includes a photo gallery highlighting various species of flora and fauna living within the gardens and nature center.
The web site will soon include a webcam, located inside Shangri La’s heronry, as well as a garden store, which allows users to shop online for earth-friendly products in addition to Shangri La souvenirs and gifts. An online Media Center features articles, press releases and publications about the latest Shangri La news and events.
Special programs offered by Shangri La are also highlighted on the new site through photos, descriptions, and event dates. Visitors can also sign up to receive notifications about upcoming events or important Shangri La news.
The Shangri La staff takes advantage of Imaginuity’s content management system, Elementum™, to update the online calendar and other site content as needed.
