The W.H. Stark House, a fully restored Victorian home and historical landmark in Orange, Texas, collaborated with Imaginuity Interactive, Inc. to renovate its web site in order to display its collection of timeless decorative arts while keeping visitors updated on upcoming events. The site also highlights the house through a photo tour feature, allowing users to explore the home online.

The original owners of the house, William Henry Stark and Miriam Melissa Lutcher Stark, collected many 18th and 19th century decorative arts from their travels around the world. Imaginuity has made it possible to view key pieces of this collection online through the addition of the “Collections” section, where users can find photos and descriptions detailing each item.

Additionally, Imaginuity enhanced the photo tour feature so that users can view nearly every room through a series of photo albums. The albums are arranged by floor and offer a 360-degree view of each room and its decor through a series of images and descriptions. They also include room views that cannot be seen in a personal tour of the house.

Because the Stark House staff plans to expand the “Collections” and photo tour sections as new images become available, the site utilizes Imaginuity’s Elementum™ content management system, which allows staff members to conveniently update the site as needed. This system will also allow them to update the site’s special events calendar as well as information about guided tours.

The site can be viewed at www.whstarkhouse.org.
