A quick overview of how a local Dallas Wholesale Fuel Company, Ranparr Inc is helping businesses save money at the pump as gas prices soar and many companies are looking for ways to cut down on fuel consumption loss. An interview with Jon Foerster of Ranparr Inc. in Dallas, Texas; by Account Manger Jamie Swartz of LevelTen Design.
Jon Foerster has been working for Ranparr Inc.for over six years and has helped many businesses in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area save money by talking
with them about the benefits of installing a fuel tank on-site. Jon shares that, “For fleet service we can help businesses save time; dollar wise by controlling man hours at the
pump by having a fuel tank on location along with many other benefits.” For
instance, employees that you would normally have pumping gas and consuming man hours at the pump, now
you only have one employee handling distribution .
By eliminating multiple individuals also helps with accounting for fuel
consumption, now employees are not
taking advantage of a gas card, such as pumping their personal cars with gas,
adding food and beverages to the company gas
cards and spending extra time while waiting to fill up. If you consider these incidents, many of these companies are benefiting
10% to 15% saving in labor time and theft cost.
For instance with car dealerships, having fuel tanks on
site, this eliminates the liability of a
$ 10 an hour porter driving a $50-$60 thousand dollar vehicle, driving to go
get gas, taking time as well as possibly
utilizing gas cards to consume gasoline
in one of their personal vehicles instead of the dealerships units.
Many other businesses benefit from moving away from even a
national card system that if you think about it, the same drivers and employees stopping at the same gas stations,
get to know the cashier, even though only gas is suppose to go on the card,
people sometimes will bend the rules. For
a large company, trying to go back through payroll and deal with deductions is
a nightmare because one or two employees bought a little something extra. If you have a fleet of 20 trucks and each
truck has 5 guys, and half of them put a little something extra on the company
card, that tallies up to be a whole lot of extras in cost at the end of the
month in losses for the business.
The benefits are great for any business
that has a lot of employees filling up on the company dime. KPosts President Steve Little tells RSI this month in their featured article just how Ranparr Inc. helped them save:
·
Contractors, CFO’s and business owners can now better
manage their vehicle fuel consumption
·
Now the only product purchased at fill-ups is
fuel, not add on such as food and beverage
·
Man hours aren’t wasted stopping for fuel in
transit
So what type of companies benefit
from having an onsite fuel tank? Some of the many types of clients Ranparr has
tanks for are:
Landscaping, plumbing, roofing, electrical, car dealerships,
wholesale distribution companies, lumber, and concrete or any companies with
quite a few fleets will benefit.
So why choose Ranparr Inc.?
Jon forester, one of the sales managers is proud that his company is
unlike a lot of the bigger companies, “We go above and beyond for our
customers, we not only supply the equipment, we service the equipment, take
care of the permits and licensing of the equipment and absorb the expense so
all the business owner has to worry about is the fuel and the site preparation,
which is minimal.”
Now that’s what I call customer service. If you're thinking about how a fuel tank might benefit your business, call Jon and see how he might be able to help.
