As a Registered Nurse and Coppell home health care provider I have deep personal respect for our country’s elder population.  Quality home health and quality home health care is vitally important to keeping our elder population healthy, and providing loving home health care is an important way of honoring our elders.  After all, they’ve earned it!

Coppell Home Health / Coppell Senior Care

I provide senior care and general home health care services in Coppell and the surrounding communities on a private pay basis.  I can also make referrals and see home health patients on an agency basis through Medicare.  As a Registered Nurse with 20+ years experience I base my Coppell senior care practice on good medicine and bedside care.  Some of the home health services I provide include the following:

·         Weekly medication set-up
·         Phone reminders
·         Nursing assessment / vital sign assessment
·         Home health eligibility evaluation
·         Local services referrals
·         Assistance with Dr appointment arrangement / management, and communication
·         Pharmacy refill calls
·         Diabetes education

You can learn more about the senior care and home health services I provide at my website.

What is “Old Age?”

It’s been said that you are only as old as you think you are.  Well, that’s certainly true to an extent.  I know firsthand based on years of delivering Coppell home health services and senior care that mental disposition is extremely important for longevity and overall vitality. But, there is a chronological clock that none of us escapes.  The key is to manage your senior years well.  That’s what my senior care and elder care services are all about.  Managing the later years and getting the most out of life.

The formal definition of “old age” as defined by Wikipedia – that treasure trove of information and sometimes misinformation – is “nearing or surpassing the average life span of human beings.”  So what is the average life span of humans?  The current world average is 66.1 years.  Andorra has the world’s longest life span at 83.5 years, and here 77.8 years in the U.S.  The U.S. population is aging rapidly, and the demand for senior care and elderly services is growing by leaps and bounds.  Securing quality home health care and senior care is going to be a defining issue for the health care industry in the coming years.

As we age, our regenerative abilities decline and we are more prone to disease, illnesses and syndromes.   It is critically important that the health and welfare of elderly individuals be tended to early and often.  Senior health care services and home health care, in particular, can literally be the difference-maker for the elderly.

“I graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Arlington with my BSN in 1985, and have been a professional caregiver ever since.  I've worked in hospitals around the country from Los Angeles to Miami in pediatric intensive care, cardiovascular and neurological intensive care units. I was also a flight nurse for a pediatric transport team.  In 2006, I began my work in home health case management.”
