VADNAIS HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA—April 26, 2006— Minnesota Label Inc. received an award for outstanding achievement in Packaging/Labels in the 2nd Annual 2005 Star of Excellence Awards, a statewide printing competition hosted by the Printing Industry of Minnesota, Inc., the state’s trade association for the printing and graphic arts industries.

Competing against entries from printing and graphic arts firms throughout the state, Minnesota Label Inc. received a Best of Category.  The company’s winning submission was Daniel’s Fire Roast Golden Roma Chipotle for Criterion Foods.

“We are honored to be recognized by the printing industry as a company that produces top quality, award winning labels,” said Patrick Hoppenstedt of Minnesota Label. “We received this honor because of our winning team who do quality work on every job we produce.”

Printing Industry of Minnesota (PIM) President David Radziej agrees, “We received so many quality entries in the second year of our premier print competition.  The judges worked hard to select the best in each category and finally the Best of Show.  Minnesota Label Inc. should be very proud of their company’s achievement and the excellent work done by their team.”

The Star of Excellence Awards recognizes those responsible for the creation and production of print communications in Minnesota.  The competition promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in print media.

PIM is the association of choice for the graphic arts industries, representing Minnesota’s second largest manufacturing industry with more than 42,000 employees and $6.1 billion in annual sales.
