NetOffer Internet Marketing and Advertising BLOG offers fresh perspectives on Content Based Search Engine Marketing.

One point that can't be stressed enough is the importance of your search engine ranking to your reputation. In many cases of reputation management, your ability to keep a positive reputation is dependent on your ability to outrank your competition. It's a highly technical business, but I will briefly go over the basics of maximizing your search engine ranking. After you have your corporate branding set, the next thing to work on is your Internet branding. The first consideration the search engines make in judging a page's search engine ranking is the domain name. Your domain name has to either completely match your company or product's name, or should at least reflect the nature of your niche. It should be unique, but don't make it b  [more info...]
Marketing in social media, or Web 2.0, has changed the ways businesses have to compete. While to many the concept of reputation management may seem like a reactive process to negative publicity, it can also be used to proactively generate a positive profile for your company. A great resource for this is the social media circuit. Of course, social media outlets can be used to simply promote your business. This is a fairly common practice, especially with newer businesses. MySpace quickly became full of local artists and businesses promoting themselves. The benefits of this practice are numerous, but the most important feature is that you place yourself in a position to more directly interact with your customer base. This is actually w  [more info...]
Before you do anything else in Internet Marketing, you should have your Internet branding figured out. The strength of your campaign and the search engine optimization of your Web page count on it. If you don't have coherent branding, all else is useless. Internet branding can happen in several ways. Depending on the size of your company, you may only want to promote the corporation. This is certainly true in the initial phases of your company's development. After all, you want people to know who you are, don't you? Your products, as well, need strong Internet branding. They can be viewed as an almost stand alone venture, with your company's branding being minimally involved. For instance, many people don't know that Sprite soda i  [more info...]
When it comes to search engine optimization, the ultimate goal is to maximize your search engine results rankings. Without having a high rank on the search engines, all the rest of your Internet presence is hampered. This is why it's important, essential even, to have a good Web page design. First of all, every business person wants to outrank their competition. This is the most basic motivation for getting yourself higher on the search engine results. The concept is simple: Get seen first. Outranking your competition on the search engine results page has benefits beyond merely being the first one seen. If you dominate your competition, you are better able to deflect any negative publicity they can make about you. If their smear c  [more info...]
Much has been said about the importance of establishing and maintaining a positive online presence. Often times, this involves the negating of a negative online presence. Depending on how long it takes for you to arrive on the scene, this can be a small matter or a large one. Many people may think that once you build your positive profile, that's all there is to it. In all actuality, your work has just begun. You see, once you get your positive online presence, you have to keep it. Your competition isn't going to give up on discrediting you. You may still have the occasional dissatisfied customer or employee. You absolutely must stay on the ball. The first thing you have to do is monitor your online presence. You have to keep an e  [more info...]
What Can a Search Engine Marketing Firm Do for You? One common area where new online business owners shoot themselves in the foot is that they don't think of how helpful a search engine marketing firm can be. While much of the spirit of online business has a very DIY attitude, the practice of it has gone well beyond something a kid can whip up in their basement. The issues of online business that aren't considered by many do it yourselfers are many. This is where a search engine marketing firm comes in handy. It really is more complicated than just slapping up a page and waiting for customers. Internet branding is one aspect that has to be taken into consideration. Many people have definite ideas on how they want their page to look like   [more info...]
Lee Thurburn, often referred to as Mr. Google, describes in detail what rich media content based search marketing is and how you can use it to grow your business. Ever wondered why the most sought after American export is the produced in Hollywood? Ever wondered why people around the world crave movies and television shows that are produced in the U.S.? I think that the answer is that Hollywood has attracted the most talented group of writers that can be found anywhere in the world. True, other countries and other parts of the U.S. produce quality theater, but, as soon as a writer gets enough experience to get hired by a studio in Hollywood they head that way. Why? Because Hollywood pays best and they get to interact with other creati  [more info...]
Click Fraud is a significant added cost if you use Pay-Per-Click marketing. Click fraud is not a problem if you use a content based search marketing strategy. As discussed in a recent article about content based search marketing I stated that one of the major reasons that people have taken the Pay-per-Click advertising model into their marketing mix is that it is so easy to implement and you can basically pay your money and sit back and see traffic to your website based on the click-through rates. The ugly downside is that the more expensive your search term is (more competition drives up the cost per click) the more rampant click fraud is. Some estimates of click fraud are that the fraud percentage approaches 50% of the clicks, espec  [more info...]
