Any wood product will rot if the moisture content is consistently above 20% and temperatures are in the 40 to 115 degree range. In this sense, hardboard, OSB, and Plywood react much the same as conventional wood. However, when these materials get wet without rotting, they may behave differently than conventional lumber.
