The popular book Freakonomics, written in 2005, states that statistically real estate agents receive 5% more for their homes when they sell them. Why would that be? There has been much speculation. Maybe they do not care as much about other people's home because a few dollars more on sales price makes a small difference in their commission? Is it that they are ready for their money and want to move on quickly to sell the next house? I do not think so.
