I would love to give a reference for Pat. We had an wonderful experience with him. We really could not have been more pleased. I highly, highly recommend him. He both sold our house (in Coppell) and helped us buy our house (in Grapevine). Both processes went very smoothly. He was super attentive and always available. He was on top of every little detail. He was great about explaining things on our level and letting us know what was going on at every step along the way. I really appreciated how much he listened to us and took our desires and wishes to heart, but also offered his professional advice when we needed it (like having some painting and repairs done) - it was a great balance. He was EXTREMELY patient with us, which I really appreciated and I kinda feel guilty because I know he spent more time on us than we were probably worth, but he never ever made us feel that way. He knows his stuff well and it was obvious he tries to stay abreast of the latest trends and education in real estate. We were a little concerned at first that he hadn't been in the field for very long - not that we didn't trust him, just that he was still kind of new. all of our "fears" were washed away. he is very competent and we never felt at any time he didn't know something or wasn't experienced enough (and this was just about 2 years ago).
we've only had two experiences with realtors, when we bought our house in Coppell and then our experience with Pat, so we truly don't have much to compare Pat to, but the two experiences were night and day. We have many regrets about our first experience and to summarize, just felt very taken advantage of, naive, disappointed, and burned. It was someone who was recommended to us at the church. Our experience with Pat was nothing like that - it was obvious our best interests were at heart, not his. He is friendly, warm and easy to work with. He seems like a good negotiator and we were very pleased with the end result of both contracts (buying and selling) and attribute that to him.
