From time to time I write posts here in my Lead Maverick account, but I also keep my own web design blog. I focus on web design, user interface, WordPress, SEO, and of course, more. I try to distribute my really helpful posts equally amongst my personal site and my Lead Maverick account, so you'll find good, unique resources in both places.
For example, I recently a wrote a post about web design in Denton, TX. I love doing local work and making differences in my own community, so when I have the chance to work with a local business or non-profit I love getting my hands dirty. I've lived in Denton, TX, web designing for about 5 years now and have really come to love working there.
One of my more popular posts is my WordPress Tips article, outlining techniques and plugins to use with your WordPress site in order to increase search engine optimization, user engagement, usability, and ease administration. This is great for implementing simple and easy improvements to your blog, WordPress tips that will greatly improve your SEO and user friendliness.
Surprisingly, my most popular post has been my Monthly Budget Template for Google Docs. I was fed up with personal finance solutions that could tell me where I already spent my money, but didn't tell me what money would be like 6 months from now. I made up a template using Google Docs and made it publicly available for others to use.
If you're looking to build a new website and want to ease development, try Yahoo! UI (YUI). Ease your development and build a much more efficient site that, out of the box, is already far more superior, in terms of browser compatibility, than most sites from scratch. Use their grid-based system to setup page layouts and be worry-free about divs breaking on you.
I'll be writing frequently on both blogs, providing more WordPress tips, WordPress SEO tips, user friendliness tips, user experience tips, usability tips, web design and development tips, general search engine optimization tips, ways to improve your Lead Maverick content in order to rank higher in search engines, user interface tips, and much, much more on the the general subject of web design as viewed from myself, Develop Daly.
So there are just some resources to help you with web design, SEO, WordPress Tips, and life. Check out web design blog subscribe to my RSS feed!
