Charles Phillips, the CEO of Infor, has hired Ali Shadman as the new Senior Vice President of Infor. Infor is one of the largest enterprise resource planning software companies and is considered to be the third largest provider of enterprise applications and services. Shadman will be leading a campaign to assist Infor’s large customer base in upgrading their systems for new technologies including the Infor10Business Cloud.
Ali Shadman attended London Metropolitan University to study Operations Research and received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Essex. Shadman has a 30-year career of working with many hardware and software companies, bringing his knowledge to a variety of departments including research and development, strategy and marketing development.
Similar to Infor’s CEO, Charles Phillips, Ali Shadman has held a leadership position at Oracle. Shadman served as the Vice President of Business Consulting. While at Oracle, Shadman led a variety of campaigns that focused on business-driven strategies. Additionally, Ali Shadman previously served as Vice President and Chief Technologist for Hewlett Packard’s Technology Consulting division.
Charles Phillips is very enthusiastic about the addition to the Infor leadership team. “Infor has introduced a wealth of new technologies and now we are proactively helping customers take advantage of these innovations by upgrading to current releases more easily. Ali’s new organization will assess customization with the goal of retiring or productizing them, facilitate upgrades directly to the cloud, and exploit virtualization to allow hybrid cloud-on premise deployments.”
Infor has over 70,000 customers worldwide and its services are utilized in 194 countries. Infor creates industry-specific systems for a variety of corporations including aerospace, high tech, financial services and pharmaceutical companies.
Charles Phillips and Infor recently launched Infor10, which is a brand new model of business software that is tailored to meet the needs of a specific industry to improve performance and workflow.
As previously mentioned, Charles Phillips was CEO of the Oracle Corporation until 2010. During his time with the computer technology corporation, Charles Phillips led Oracle into acquiring over 70 companies. Charles Phillips also served as the Managing Director at Morgan Stanley.
In addition to his successful position as CEO of Infor, Charles Phillips is on the board of the Viacom Corporation, Jazz at Lincoln Center, New York Law School, the Museum of Natural History, the United States Air Force Academy Endowment Fund and his own charity, the Phillips Charitable Organizations.
