Charles Phillips, CEO of Infor, has consistently donated time and money to different charities. Board members of Infor, including Charles Phillips, created their own charity titled Phillips Charitable Foundation. This organization aims to financially assist single parents, wounded veterans, and engineering students. In addition to the Phillips Charitable foundation, Charles Phillips incorporated Infor into Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization which makes an effort to provide a comfortable and affordable place to live for as many people as possible. Habitat for Humanity joins homeowners and volunteers to build homes under trained supervision. Habitat for Humanity was established in 1976, and since then it has helped more than 500,000 families. Not only does Habitat for Humanity build affordable homes for people in need, but it also provides training and access to resources which can help people improve their living and shelter conditions.
In February 2012 Infor announced that it would be partnering with Habitat for Humanity International in order to help build homes in the United States as well as world wide. Charles Phillips and Infor will now provide opportunities for their employees to become involved with Habitat for Humanity. Charles Phillips commented on Infor’s involvement with Habitat for Humanity: “Corporate citizenship is a top priority for Infor, and through our partnership with Habitat for Humanity we are giving back to select communities around the world by lining up Infor resources - people, time and funding - to make a difference. "We are both proud and excited to be working with and supporting our customer, Habitat for Humanity, in its noble cause to provide decent housing solutions and build communities that spread goodwill, dignity and hope." There are three different ways that employees can help Habitat for Humanity. They can become involved in the volunteer build program and work onsite in convenient locations to build affordable housing. They can become involved in the “Employee Giving Campaign” in which Infor has agreed to match up to 50,000 of employee donations made to Habitat for Humanity. The third way employees can help is by taking part in an Annual Global Village Build which is a nine-day building project that takes place in Nicaragua. Already, Infor has agreed to donate up to $500,000 in order to fund the building of homes and operational costs. Charles Phillips and Infor hope that more people will help people in need with Habitat for Humanity.
