Tray LaCaze, Strategic Creative Principal with Practical Advertising, Dallas, Texas, is an award-winning creative director with 15 + years of agency and corporate advertising and communications experience.
Tray received a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV/Film and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Northeast Louisiana University in 1993. Five years later, he returned to school and acquired a Master of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of North Texas. Tray’s Masters thesis was published three times and most recently was rewritten as a chapter in the book “Sex in Consumer Culture”, co-authored by Tom Reichert.
In January, 2000, he joined forces with Helene Honeybone and founded, PRACTICAL ADVERT!SING. Their goal was to develop an agency that would focus on building relationships with start-up companies and businesses in transition by providing them with practical advertising solutions.
Tray manages the creative side of the business working closely with the clients in the development of their identity and marketing programs. Practical Advertising serves a large range of industries including: Communications, Event Planning, Fashion, Financial, Furniture, Medical, Non-Profit, Printing, Packaging, Real Estate, Restaurants, Technology and Travel.
Tray’s also has a active painting career with exhibits in solo and group shows in galleries and museums across the United States including The Contemporary in Dallas, Texas; the Meadows Museum in Shreveport, Louisiana; Stearns Homestead in Cleveland, Ohio; and the Cane River Art Association in historic Natchitoches, Louisiana.
