Doctors of Chiropractic Care Provide Optimum Spinal Adjustments to Athletes of all Sports, Maximizing Performance, Better Health, and Minimizing Injury.

EVERY ATHLETE NEEDS THIS SPECIALIZED CARE

In today's athletic sports, too many athletes are hobbled with injuries that could have been  avoided, but whether they're amateur or paid to play, there never seems to be enough education on how to protect themselves from injury. Some athletes are sidelined simply because the injury they have, just doesn't seem to heal with normal treatment.  There are also those athletes that play hurt, kidding themselves that they'll work through the pinched nerve, back spasms, cramps, or other minor pain that keeps them below peak performance.  As a Doctor of Chiropractic here in Plano, TX. I find that a majority of people in sports fail to reach their potential simply because their structural system (spine) is out of balance.

When I speak to trainers, coaches, other doctors, and athletes, the overriding consensus is that use of pain killing drugs won't solve the problem, only provide the bandaid effect.
Drugs are definitely a short term fix, masking the symptoms, and possibly making the injury more serious than was originally diagnosed.

More than any other medical professional involved in health care, my approach as a Chiropractor is focused on the health needs of the athlete.  If they're the weekend warrior, playing amateur sports, or professional, it's almost guaranteed there will be physical contact, constant flexing of the torso, quick starts and stops, all contributing to additional strain on their backs, muscles, and structural system.

As a Doctor of Chiropractic I view any patient as a specialized unique being, concentrating my expertise on their spine, joints, nerves, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Chiropractic care stresses the importance of maintaining all the systems of a persons body.  Any athlete that has experienced the benefits of chiropractic care knows that proper maintenance helps them function at their highest level, avoiding serious injury, back pain, and quicker recuperative time.

Today, a majority of the top professional athletes retain chiropractors as part of their team whether traveling abroad or at home.  The PGA, NFL, NBA, MLB, just to name a few, all have sports chiropractors at the ready to provide care. The US Olympic Team uses chiropractors at their training facilities or when they are competing nationally or internationally.
So anyone involved in sports, benefits from receiving proper care and maintenance from a qualified Doctor of Chiropractic.  Which leads me to another question I'm always asked,

WHAT TREATMENTS ARE PROVIDED WITH CHIROPRACTIC CARE?

The primary care I provide is strategic manipulation ("spinal adjustment") to certain areas of the spine or surrounding joints which are out of alignment or failing to function properly. Providing the proper adjustment or series of adjustments will restore correct alignment and functionality to the spinal joints, which stimulates normal nerve transmission and healing of those vital structures of the body. It has been quoted many times "Your body is a Temple"!

Nutrition, Targeted Exercise, and Massage Techniques, all play a vital part in my care curriculum when helping my patients. If a patient comes to me with a sprain, muscle pull, arthritis, tendinitis, back pain, sciatica, shoulder problems, and any number of joint problems, I can treat all of these effectively with chiropractic care. Beyond all of these issues, you must not forget  that (2) of the biggest benefits of chiropractic care is the avoidance of drugs and surgery.

Even the greatest athletes must maintain proper alignment and functions in order for their bodies to operate at continued peak performance.  You don't race in NASCAR without providing a proper tune up to the car, and so you should consider getting a "tune up" of your body before asking it to perform at maximum efficiency in whatever sport you play.  When you've completed the competition, consider getting that much needed adjustment to insure proper recuperation so that you're ready for the next time.  For other great information on chiropractic services we offer, go to my websites: www.premierhealthclinic.net and contact me personally.  Dr. Khayal   Thank You and your back will thank you.
