Spinal Subluxation, Chiropractic Adjustments Correct Misalignment, Restoring Health, Body Balance, Your Nervous System, and Eliminate Pain.

As a Chiropractor serving clients in Dallas and Plano, Texas, I have to deal with many patients who have a misalignment of the spine. Subluxation is a term used by Doctors of Chiropractic to describe the misalignment resulting in nerve pressure or irritation.  When the back is subjected to stress it can become misaligned. You might ask how your back becomes misaligned, and any number of things can cause this, minor accidents, sports, and Injuries tear loose the connective tissues that hold your spine together resulting in a weakness allowing your body to break down locking your head, spine and pelvis into a stressed position. As your doctor, I have to consider various treatment options including chiropractic adjustments to restore their backs to full health.

A more significant reason to take care of your back is its devastating effects to the nervous system caused by the subluxation, which limits life and causes a multitude of symptoms. The longer your spine is misaligned the worse it gets.  Your symptoms may be related to the Nervous System, mechanical tension on your brain, brain stem, spinal cord and the nerves exiting your spine and their functions that they control and regulate.  Manipulations (chiropractic adjustments) are made to the spinal column only when a misalignment is found and needs to be corrected.  The distress of the nervous system by the misaligned spine limits life and causes a multitude of symptoms.    If you have a misalignment, you need to have it corrected to live a full and pain free life.

Joint subluxations in the feet, knees, and the spine interfere with the body's ability to relay information and balance itself.  Proper posture, exercise, and regular chiropractic treatment can resolve these issues.

Many of the learning disorders and behavioral problems may also be related to the misalignment of your back.  Injuries to ligaments and tendons that occur during the time the spine is misaligned never seem to completely recover and continue to flair-up on a regular basis or become chronically painful.  It is important for everyone to have a spinal examination annually to make sure that the spine and nervous system are functioning normally.

Many people, through the help of their chiropractor, have learned to effectively treat the symptoms of the misaligned spine with the appropriate chiropractic care, certain medications, exercises, nutritional programs and supplements and/or the appropriate life stress reduction or lifestyle changes.  Life becomes much simpler when the spine is in an aligned position and everything is working normally.  When the head, neck, and spine are in alignment, the trillions of neural pathways that pass from the brain through the foramen magnum into the body have clear passage, which allows free communication between body and brain.  The spine is so important for a high vitality level, good health and the correction of many health conditions that a whole science of healing has been developed to correct spinal misalignments.
