Blockbuster Video's Latino Marketing Effort

Overview
Blockbuster Video, one of the most highly vairetied video stores in the world, wanted to develop a new marketing strategy to better serve the Hispanic market. The put their heads together with a direct marketing agency, Proterra Advertising and developed a strategy that would be used again in the futer to target the Hispanic market.

Problem Encountered
Blockbuster Video, the world's largest video rental company, and Direct TV Inc,. the leading provider of pay-per-view movies, joined together with the idea of launching a new co-branded pay-per-view service directed toward the Hispanic marketi. They needed a marketing partner that could pull this off.         

Our Solution
English/Spanish Flyer

Working on a very short deadline, Proterra Advertising helped the client develop materials to be used at an upcoming Latino Film Festival in San Diego. Proterra Advertising developed an English/Spanish flyer to be used at the Festival to promote thier new service.

Results
The program was deemed a very large success by Blockbuster.

The program was such a success that Blockbuster decided to use the same approach for a Latino film festival in Dallas. Following the same creative strategy, Proterra Advertising managed the project in the Dallas area and achieved the same results.
