The Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute is a
traditional school of Martial Arts located in Plano,
Texas. The Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute is
dedicated to teaching the Shaolin Long Fist and Five Animals style of
Traditional Chinese Kung Fu. The Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute located in the Dallas area is unique in both style and training
environment. The institute is modeled after the serene and peaceful setting of
the Original
Shaolin Temple
in Northern China and the spacious Gong Fu training hall
at the Taipei Chinese Kung Fu Association located in the Republic of China. The
Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute is the result of many years of planning and thought by
the founder Sifu Travis Alschbach. The result is a kung fu school located in Plano, Texas conveniently located to Dallas,
Richardson, Carrollton,
Frisco and Allen possessing a training environment rarely found outside China.
This ideal environment helps the students in their quest for the highest level
of Shaolin Kung Fu skill. The institute is equipped with two large training
areas and all types of martial arts training equipment including the mook jong
( wooden dummy ), a large variety of striking pads for self defense and
striking practice, traditional Gong Fu training tools and Chinese weapons. The Shaolin
Wu-Yi Institute utilizes both group and private weekly instruction to guide
students on their journey to martial arts mastery while also teaching effective self
defense techniques. Traditional Chinese Kung Fu is different from other styles
like Karate, Tae Kwon Do or Jujitsu in that it incorporates all aspects of
fighting including: kicking, punching, joint locking, self defense and
wrestling as well as traditional weapons. The Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute trains
its students in the beautiful and popular and dynamic Shaolin Long Fist Style as
well as the rare, ancient and unique Shaolin Five Animals system which will
help the students to achieve excellent physical fitness as well as superior and
effective self defense techniques. The Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute is located at
