Otilio Avila, Senior Instructor of Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute

Mr. Avila was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and moved to the United States in 1991 . He began his training in Shaolin Kung Fu in 1996 and became an Assistant Instructor several years later. In 1999 Mr. Avila earned the rank of 1^st Degree Black Belt in Northern & Southern style Shaolin Kung Fu certified by the World Chinese Martial Arts Federation under Grandmaster Huang Sian Teh. Over the next six years Mr. Avila continued his training under Master Silvio Azzolini, Master Maher Awad and Sifu Travis Alschbach. In 2006 Mr. Avila passed the examinations offered by the Taipei Chinese Kung Fu Association, U.S.A and was awarded the rank of 2^nd Degree Black Belt in Shaolin Five Animals & Long Fist Style Kung Fu certified by Grandmaster Ron Lee. Mr. Avila has participated as a member of the 2005 Taipei Chinese Kung Fu Association, U.S.A. Demonstration Team under the leadership of Master Silvio Azzolini and the 2006 Shaolin Martial Arts Demonstration Team. Mr. Avila is a bilingual Senior Instructor and founding member of the Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute Black Belt Board.
