Mr. Gonzalez began his Chinese Kung Fu training at the age of 21. In 2001 Mr. Gonzalez was chosen to be an assistant instructor under the recommendation of Master Maher Awad. In 2003, at the age of 24, Mr. Gonzalez was awarded the “Outstanding Martial Arts Spirit” award for spirit and skill. On May 15, 2004, Mr. Gonzalez earned his 1st Degree Black Belt in Northern & Southern Shaolin Kung Fu, Certified by the Taipei Chinese Kung Fu Association, U.S.A. and was a member of the 2004 Chinese Martial Arts Demonstration Team. Mr. Gonzalez earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003, and, was awarded a Master of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Dallas for his theses, The Evolution of the Shaolin Temple’s Five Animals Style of Kung Fu and The Five Animals Style of Kung Fu and its Musical Accompaniment. Mr. Gonzalez is a member of the Shaolin Martial Arts Demonstration team. He is a teaching assistant for Dallas Independent School District and is working on completing his doctoral degree as well as being a founding member of the Shaolin Wu-Yi institute Black Belt Board and a bilingual Instructor.
