Maira J. Azzolini, Black Belt Instructor of Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute

Maira J. Azzolini began training in Shaolin Kung Fu in 1997. In 2002 she received her 1^st degree black belt in Northern and Southern style Shaolin Kung Fu certified by the World Chinese Martial Arts Federation and the Taipei Chinese Kung Fu Association under Grandmaster Huang Sian Teh – Republic of China. She is an Instructor and founding member of the Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute Black Belt Board and has also trained in Okinawan Shudokan and Shorin Ryu karate and in Chinese Kenpo. During her years of training she has participated in many seminars and martial arts demonstrations at the national level. She was a member of the 2005 Taipei Chinese Kung Fu Association, U.S.A. Demonstration Team under the leadership of Master Silvio Azzolini and the 2006 Shaolin Martial Arts Demonstration Team at the National Okinawan Karate Fall Training Convention. She is also an integral member of the National Woman’s Martial Arts Federation, of which she is an active board member and the liaison for the Diversity Committee. Maira has a Bachelors degree in Global Business Management and in her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking, and of course, practicing martial arts.
