No one can accuse Phillip Crum, owner of Sir Speedy Walnut Hill, of hiring just anyone who walks through the door. His print shop team consists of valuable members ripe with printing knowledge and a true dedication to customer service. One such member is Justin Lowe, a printing industry veteran of 4 years.
At 17, Justin took a job at Staples working in the digital printing division. More than just an after school job his position at Staples opened the door to what would eventually become a full-time career. Before he started at Sir Speedy, Justin took a brief hiatus from the printing business and landed a job at a local Lowe’s Home Improvement lumberyard. After months of loading and unloading lumber and building supplies, he decided that the world of print and ink better suited his fancy. However, his experience at Lowe’s taught him the importance of teamwork and staying focused when doing a job.
After leaving Lowe’s, he decided to further his pursuits by going to college. Initially gravitating toward a vocation in the creative field, Justin began his studies as a University of North Texas graphic design student. His love of art and technology, combined with his affinity for digital art eventually led him to the door of Phillip Crum at Sir Speedy Printing.
Justin first began his Sir Speedy adventure in the graphics department designing marketing collateral for the small business clientele. After proving himself as both an artist and a team player, Justin was promoted to production coordinator. His time spent in management led him to realize how they are truly more than just another print house.
“Our team at Sir Speedy Walnut Hill is concerned with the customer rather than the competitor. We focus on producing high quality documents for everyone, no matter the size of the job.”
Sir Speedy customers run the gamut from business owners to professionals to people just looking to print an odd job or two. Speaking of odd jobs, Justin once had the pleasure of assisting an elderly lady with an all-important task.
“I love working with a diversity of people and one day an 85-year-old lady walked in requesting that I make a copy of her will. What really made it memorable was that once the job was finished, she told me that because I did such a good job, that I now have all her printing jobs for life.”
Sir Speedy is known for providing a wide variety of products and services. In addition the standard print shop offerings such as digital printing, copying and mailing/shipping, they are the one stop shop for marketing collateral production.
