PLANET, the Professional Landcare Network, is an international association serving lawn care professionals, landscape management contractors, design, build, installation professionals, and interior plantscapers.

PLANET is the Association of members who create and maintain the QUALITY OF LIFE in communities across America. The association provides its members with a good business foundation to help them evaluate, plan, and better manage their companies. Member firms have direct access to marketing tools, industry specific business publications, updates on legislative issues, and networking opportunities that can assist them in becoming more profitable.

PLANET emerged on January 1, 2005, when the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) and the Professional Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA) joined forces to become a more encompassing network of green industry and landscape management professionals. PLCAA, organized in 1979, was the premier global trade association for residential and commercial lawn care professionals. ALCA, founded in 1961, was the premier global trade association for landscape maintenance, landscape design, installation, and design/build contractors, installation professionals, and interior plantscapres.

The mission of the Professional Landcare Network is to cultivate and safeguard opportunities for our members — the dedicated professionals and companies who create and enhance the world’s landscapes, including lawn care professionals, landscape management contractors, design/build/installation professionals, and interior plantscapers. PLANET’s vision is to be the respected leader and voice of the green industry. As such, PLANET develops and maintains active programs for approximately 3,500 member firms in the areas of business management, government affairs, public relations, technical assistance, safety and insurance, education, and interindustry relations with other facets of the green industry.

PLANET's strategic direction addresses five critical goals that will advance the green industry and the association as our nation's environmental stewards.

PLANET AEF

Since its inception, the PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation (PLANET AEF) has funded educational excellence by awarding scholarships to students of the landscape industry.

PLANET Trailblazers

This in-depth, member-to-member networking and mentoring program is a unique way for both emerging and established companies to gain insight and advice on how to develop and grow their businesses.

Southern Botanical Interiors is a Licensed Florist by the Texas Department of Agriculture.  We are a supporter of the “Green Plants for Green Buildings”, a national organization of interior landscaping companies that promotes the benefits of live plants in buildings and homes.  We are also a member of the Plant Industry Alliance (PIA), and the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET).
