Overview
The AMTA Indiana chapter is a non-profit organization designed by massage therapists and just for massage therapists. The AMTA, started over 60 years ago, was created with benefits formed around the unique needs of massage therapists. The mission of the American Massage Therapy Association is to serve AMTA members while advancing the art, science and practice of massage therapy. The Indiana Chapter has approximately 1,000 members, and is growing each year.
Problem Encountered
When AMTA Indiana came to SpinWeb, the chapter needed a fresh new web site that would accomplish a number of goals. One
goal was an attractive, modern, and exciting image. The chapter needed to give the impression of being a solid,
progressive organization - one that can provide professional support to massage therapists in Indiana. Another concern
from AMTA Indiana was being able to present chapter and industry information in a clear and organized way.
Our Solution
SpinWeb designed and implemented a fresh, modern, and standards-compliant web site that sets AMTA Indiana apart as having
one of the most visually-appealing AMTA Chapter web sites in the country. Beyond that, SpinWeb organized the site's content
into a logical structure that made it easy to navigate. SpinWeb created the site using modern CSS/XHTML markup which
ensures that the site renders properly on all major browsers and operating systems while reducing bandwidth and load time.
SpinWeb also built the site on the Freedom application suite which gave
the chapter total control over site content, products, news, events,
broadcast email, and other dynamic content pieces.
